To obtain Commonwealth Quality certification, farmers, processors and distributors must be in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.  These regulations include those administered by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection as well as the United States Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Agency.  Commonwealth Quality Producers must also meet all Local Board of Health rules, regulations and requirements.
